Children's Concerts

Over the years, Tammy-Jo has done many things to interest young children and young musicians in the pipe organ, including demonstrations of the pipe organ for school-aged children, and teaching young pianists to play the organ.

She has also performed in many theatrical productions for young audiences.

Jack and the Beanstalk
Tammy-Jo commissioned Jacobus Kloppers to create a piece for organ and narrator based on a fairy tale.  The great result was the lively musical telling of "Jack and the Beanstalk".  Tammy-Jo has collaborated with Timothy Anderson as narrator performing on the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra's "Saturdays for Kids", the Royal Canadian College of Organists convention in Ottawa, the McGill Summer Organ Academy, the PipeWorks International Organ Festival, and at King's College.
Mr. Majeika and the Magic Organ
This marvellous "Harry Potter-esque" piece for organ and narrator was written by Bob Chilcott.  Tammy-Jo and Timothy Anderson performed it for Alberta Arts Days at Robertson-Wesley in 2009.

Brother Heinrich's Christmas
Tammy-Jo has both conducted and played in this lovely tale written by John Rutter.  A Christmastime favourite of many.
